Zoom Zoom

Here is a picture of me riding T's four wheeler, s is on the back. I was zooming up a little hill we found. It's was great fun... s was belly-aching because he had to ride with me, I'm apparently too slow. I showed him and he ended up having a good time, even if I am his Mom. We took TS out four-wheeling before she had to go back to Texas.

Sam had a field trip yesterday to the Discovery Center and the Zoo in Boise. Great time was had by all...

Just a little story for you about the power of prayer... The day before the long awaited field trip, s came to my room after school instead of walking home. He was complaining that his "brain hurt" and he couldn't possibly walk all the way home. So he stayed and waited until I finished my work, when we got home I gave him some allergy medicine. He begged TS to play Ninetendo with him, after a little while we needed to go to the library. He did not want the go and stayed home. When we got back 30- 40 minutes later he wasn't doing anything, just laying on the couch. He had a high fever and just wanted to do nothing, very unusual for him. As the night progressed he just went to bed with a temp of 102.6. He was very upset at the thought that he might not be able to go on the field trip, they only have one a year and he did not want to miss it. We prayed and prayed that he would feel better and be able to go. All throughout the night I kept checking his temp... 101.9 at 12:30 am, 102.0 at 2 am, ,104.0 at 4 am. I was so worried, he did not have any other symtoms. He had been complaining of stomache aches, but didn't have one then, and after everything that happened last summer with his appendex...ahhhh. Well he woke up at 6 am and said, "Lets get up early and make my lunch Mom" He was fine, his temp was 98.0, and he felt great. He has been fine since too. I still keeping a close eye on him, that boy is going to give me ulcers.

We are still counting our blessings... so thankful for healthy and happy kids.

2nd Place

Well we had our Pine Wood Derby... s came in 2nd. He won every race he was in until the last two races, he lost the final... it was best two of three. He took it well, T took it pretty hard though. His truck was designed after his Dad's truck, except paint, and spoiler. He is already talking about next years car. T made a car for himself and a car for e and me... the parents got to race theirs afterwords. e's and my, car was the best... It even beat the Derby winner. It was pink, with black strips... totally cute.

I'm a Great Aunt

Here is a picture of me holding my new great niece... My neice had her baby, her name is Katie... she weighed 8lbs 8oz. She is going great. My sister and brother-in-law are happy Grandparents... Grandpa is a baby piggy. We went up and saw them last weekend, and had to squeeze in a chance to hold her.

Sorry it's been awhile...

Here is a picture we took in Texas... we were at the zoo in San Antiono. That tree was beauitful, it looked over the swans.

Our latest 4-Wheeling Trip

Here we are on our last trip 4-wheeling... we were up above the Swan Falls Dam outside Kuna. Just behind us about 10 ten feet, is about 500 foot cliff. It was a very fun day, the weather was awesome... 70 degrees, and a little wind. We took the kids fishing for a while along the way, we didn't catch anything, but who wants to eat fish anyway.
Well I need to go make playdough for Cub Scouts tomorrow, we are making volcones... it's getting to be interesting.

After School Snack

I have a funny little story to tell... yesterday when I came home from school the kids are having a snack. I had made cookies a few days ago. s likes his warm, so he puts them in the microwave for 7-9 seconds.e wanted a warm one too, s wouldn't do it for her, so she warmed up a cookie for herself... she put it in the microwave and pushed the only button she knows, the popcorn button. Well 3 1/2 minutes later the cookie was petrefied. They realized it was bad... so they tried to clean it up... they had three spatulas, two potholders, and two rags. I'm not sure you can imagine the large mess they had. (It was big and wide.) Not only the mess,, but the smell... e thought she'd get ride of it with some Frebreez air freshern... so now we have a burned cookie and air freshern smell.
When I walked in the door from my staff meeting my senses were assaulted... T was just getting up and realizing what had happened. No one was happy at that moment... e shouldn't have done it by herself, s should have helped her, T and I were having a bad parenting moment. Well the mess was cleaned and lectures given, but every time someone (who isn't e) uses the microwave, it stinks all over again.

Normal Plain Life

Here is a picture from our trip to Texas... we were with T's dad and his wife. We ate at the Rainforest cafe, so we had to take a picture. s and e look a little silly in the picture, but I think I look good.

Well we have adjusted to being home again... back to the grind. School, work and normal plain life. s and e had great report cards for the third quarter of school. e needs to work on being happy at school though... she's doing great with learning her sounds and sight words. s is keeping his teacher on her toes. She is happy to have him in her class this year and is working on keeping him busy.
