Guess What!!!!!

I have the best Grandmother in the world. She is taking me, s and e to TEXAS!!!! It's official, she already bought the tickets. We are going over Spring Break, for 9 days.... wahoo!!! She wants to go to visit my Mom and TS, but can't go by herself. She knew how desprately I want to go, and offered to take me and my kids with her. We weren't her first choice, but my older sister couldn't get away, I guess. I plan on spending a lot of time with Grandma this summer being her slave, to pay her back. I am soooo excited and so are s and e, e is already a little nervous about flying on a plane. s feels like a old pro, he's flown twice in his life (both before e was born). We are planing to go Sea World for sure, hopefully maybe Six Flags too. The aweful day I had at work today does not even matter anymore.... Thank you Grandma.

Sunday

Hummmm, what did I do today... not much. I read an entire book. We went to church, didn't make it on time, but we made it. Our church doesn't start until 1:00pm, you would think we could be there on time. Nothing like a good shoe hunt to get the blood pumping before church, it always puts you in that special spiritual mood. After church we went to my brother's for dinner and I didn't have to make it, it was great. Pretty uneventful day, weekend really, we just stayed home and relaxed... PRICELESS.

Pliers and e's tooth

If you watch the video you will see T pulling e's tooth with a pair of pliers, she is so brave... s would have nursed that tooth for a month. It was a little loose earlier in the evening, last night and by bedtime she was determined to get it out. She would not go to bed bed until it was out... T was trying to help her, he pushed and pulled it with his fingers for a long time before getting to pliers. She was so funny, she was running around the house squealing that Daddy's getting the pliers, I'm not sure if she was excited or scared, probably a little of both. She really wanted that tooth out. She just stood there and let him pull it out. She was so wound up she still wouldn't go to bed, and first thing in the morning she check under her pillow. Which the tooth fairy had forgotten the come, she my have quietly got a dollar and while looking again with e, and then I found it inside her pillow case:)

A Hair Cut

Well I did it folks, I cut my hair. I love it, it's in a cute bob kind of... it goes to my ears, I can still tuck it behind my ears. T HATES it... when we met my hair was very long, and through the years it just keeps getting shorter and shorter. Two pregancies and two kids later... taking the meds I do now for my diabetes seems to make my hair very frizzy. I've had the same basic due for 20 years, and it was tired and gross. T was very clear that he did NOT want me to cut it from the very beginning, (beginning of marriage) but I have to feel good about myself, and I didn't. I have a friend who used to cut hair for 20 plus years and she offered to help me with a new look. I stewed over it for months, I researched what looks I liked and what would look good on my head with what I have the work with... I didn't take it lighty. I knew it would piss off T and I was right, that's why I waited until after his birthday, I didn't want to cause conflict on his 30th b-day. I feel bad that he is mad, I didn't do it to defy him, I did it for me. I just need to get him to understand that I needed a change, I need to feel good about myself. I feel like I'm hiding from him... we don't fight much, and I started this one. I'm not sorry I cut it, I just wish we could all be happy.

I'm such a baby, I know everyone else has bigger problems than me.
I've been so blessed, but now I have cute hair.

My Favorite Things

Today is T's Birthday, I think he had a good day, I hope he had a good day. Yesterday we went on a four-wheeling trip. We went 23 miles, a long trip for me, I've never gone more than ten until then. We had babysitter, so it was just the two of us. It was great fun, but I'm paying now, my body is sore and tired. I got him a Green Bay Packers Sweatshirt and Mud Flaps for his truck. (that's what he wanted) The kids got him a Donkey Kong tee-shirt. We went to the park and had Pizza, not a terribly exciting day, but what he wanted to do. Happy 30th...

These are some of my favorite pictures of s and e. They were so little, and cute. Now neither one of them can fit into that whole seprate or together.

Valentine

Well he come through for me folks, I had a wonderful day on Valentine's Day. I feel so loved, and appriecated. I didn't realize that he read my blog when I wrote about past V-days. I'm glad he reads it, it makes me feel like what I say matters to him, and he wants to know what I think about sometimes. I'll jsut be a little more careful about complaining about him:0)

He is so wonderful, he got up very early, (which didn't make me wonder, he's a morning person, and is usually gets up well before me) and made me breakfast by candlelight. It was great, then I got ready for work, he stayed home with e (she didn't have school) and s and I went to school. About lunch time I received a dozen beautiful white roses. He had already told me he ordered a shirt for me, (but it was on backorder so he didn't have it yet) but when I got home he had another gift for me, a new camera. Which we badly needed, the old one is outdated. I've declared the camera a gift for both of us. He was making the work shirt and the coffee mug shaped like a fish, (that says "I hooked on you" on it) look pretty cheesey. Well he likes to fish...
Then he took us out to dinner, yes we brought the kids, but that is OK. (our #1 babysitters moved to Texas) I had a awesome day. I felt very loved... I love him so much, I don't know what I'd do without him. Thank you T.

Homework

Here are my boys, they are doing homework, or suppose to be. They are tired and needed to get it done before they could go to bed. e is happy as can be because she doesn't have to go to school the next day, (Parent-Teacher Conferences).
So she's posing in the kitchen, singing a happy tune.

100 Days of School

I'm re-posting this picture... I sisn't edit the picture right.. sorry.
We recently had a 100 day of school celebration... yahoo! We are more than half way through. e had an assignment at school to make something with 100 things on it, she made a flower bauquet with 100 flowers on it. She really wanted it to be on the blog to show to the masses.

The Carnival is OVER!!

Ok, we went, we played, and now we are home... it wasn't soooo bad. s and e had a great time, uncle Aaron took them around while I ran the candy walk for an hour, and worked the nerf basketball booth for another hour. The first hour we ate a baked potatoes and paced ourselves. Aaron was great about streching out the tickets, and finding things with the best chances. They actually won some things. I may have helped them win a few candy bars in the candy walk:) They compaired today with being as good as Christmas, wow, a lot of pressure, the report is in, it held up. One of the best days of their lives, it's all down hill from here.

School Carnival

Well today is the school carnival, wahoo... Being a employee at the school I am required to go and man a booth for a assigned time slot. s and e are over the moon excited about it. Little do they know, it's not free, they have to pay to play games and to eat. They are going to have to help me at my booth and they both are going to have a limited (very limited) amount of tickets to play games with. I'll keep you posted on how they do with this info. My room is going to be doing the candy walk, I'm told it's like a cake walk, but with candy. Our room has been transformed, all our toys have been put away, and our signs taken down or covered. It'll take hours to put everything back the way it was, but it's all for the good of the kids, right? Last night when I left they had the cotton candy machine going, the popcorn machine running full boar, and a bunch of kids and parents trying to get booths put together. My booth was easy, Nerf Basketball, we hung a sign, licked the basket sticky thingys, and hide the prizes under the table. Done and out of there... the festivites start at 3:00, e has been asking me all morning "Is it time yet?" I'll be glad when this day is done.

PACK MEETING

I have recently gone to my first Pack Meeting, the Blue and Gold Banquet... Being a mother of a new Cub Scout and a new Den Leader I got to go. It was quite an excerience, crazy... boys running everywhere, little brothers and sisters running everywhere. Parents standing around talking, not paying attention to their kids... the Cub Master trying to keep order and keep things moving. ahhhhhh... We were there past 9:00, it all started at 6:00pm, that's too long if your asking me. But it's all over now and we can go on with our normal den meetings, we've been getting ready for more than a month now, for this dinner. The theme was Chinese New Year, the boys had fun, I hope they learned a little along the way too.

Vison of Loveliness

Here is a lovely picture of my little brother, OK younger brother. He sent this to me on Halloween night, and the e-mail said. Aren't you glad that this didn't knock on your door.
I was reading a friends blog the other day, it had an blerb about what to get for your husband for Valentine's Day, and how it's impossible to find something that he will really like. It either has to be a big ticket item, or he won't really like it. Well T's birthday is just a few days later on top of the Valentine's Day thing. What to do, what to do.... He keeps telling me not to do anything for him. That doesn't help at all.
Valentine's Day, I always do everything, I force him to take me on a date, I find a babysitter, I drop hint after hint about what I want. Not this year, I'm not saying anything. I'm tired of forcing him. I guess it's not forcing him, but I just make it to easy for him, and he gets away with it. I want him to work at it, to put forth some effort. I know he loves me and he tells me all the time, he shows me all the time, but Valentine's Day is supposed to be special. I've hear people say, Valentine's Day is dumb, just a way for the retail world to make money, ok, it is but I like the concept that it's a time of year to tell your lover that they are important to you. You say it at Christmas, love the family and the Lord and everything you have. At 4th of July, your thankful for freedom and the country we live in, at Easter, your thankful for Christ and the sacrifice he made for us, and on and on... I view Valentine's Day as my day to tell the one person in this world that I love the most how much he means to me, and how I can't live without him, and on and on...
Ok, I've whined enough for today... blog ya later.

Ahhhhh!!!

I'm so tired, I really wanted a snow day today... I don't know what I'll do when winter is gone. I use the snow days to recope and rejuvinate myself. I guess yesterday should count as a snow day, we got 6 inches here on Saturday night. They cancelled church because of the snow, sooooo I didn't do anything. I plopped my self in front of the computer and play a silly game, for eight hours. (blush) It was very addicting, I won the game if it's any constallion, and I won't be playing it anymore. I feel pretty guilty for wasting the entire day. I never do that, I have to say I made 3 square meals though. Nobody really said anything, I think T knew better. The superbowl was on, and the family was engaged with that. It was good to take a day for myself right, right???

Ok, I'll move on and not do that anymore. :)

e's New Dress

Here is e in her new dress I made her the other day, it cute huh... it has butterflies on it. Her hair badly needs brushed in this picture.

Saturday, February 2, 2008

OK here is a picture of all of us.... yes we are freezing. but it was fun. The great part of it, we were only a little way from the house. So we could go home and have some hot chocolate right away. Usually when we use the 4 wheelers we have to drive 30+ miles. I like it this way better. The school you can see in the background is the school that I work at and the kids attend.

Here is T, he is on his pride and joy, his new four wheeler. He spent hours yesterday playing in the snow with the kids. He got a little sled to pull them behind him, or they can ride behind him on the 4-wheeler. The snow is starting to melt now, but they don't care. They go over behind our subdivsion and tear-up the road. I'll try to get a better picture of them with the sled today. Uncle A come over today with his wii, the kids are excited, and they want to show him the fun they had with Dad. Since Uncle A is 15, he's happy to play.
Blog ya later.

It's Friday, It's Friday.... No School Tomorrow

Every Friday morning I sing that song with my kids, and then I sing it at school with the kids there. I am truely glad today is Friday, I'm sooooo tired. It's a good thing we had a snow day this week or I might not have made it. OK I would have made it, but dang.

The snow here is melting now, it's 40 degrees. I love the snow, always have, and it makes me sad when it goes away. But I hear that there are more storms to come. On our snow day, we went sledding with some friends, and then I made a dress for e, it has puffy sleeves and it twilers great. Of course it's pink, but she saw a little girl the other day that was wearing a yellow dress, she thought it was very pretty. She might be willing to branch out... maybe.

Well today is grocrey shopping day, so I better get to it.
Blog ya later....
