My sister is a Grandma!!!

Here is my sister, older sister. She is reading a story to k. k loves reading and already has some favorite books. This is at Thanksgiving, while we were up there at L's house.
Yes, that makes a Great Aunt... and the favorite Aunty.
I am working on giving the Christmas pictures downloaded and posting some of them. Soon... I hope.

Pie Day

Here we are at Pie Day at my sisters new house. As you can tell we out did ourselves again. We made 35 pies all together. We gave a lot of them away and a guilt free day on Thanksgiving. My sisters house was still unfinished, so we didn't have a kitchen sink. We had to go downstairs to the laundry room for any water and washing we needed. We really started hating those stairs. How do you like my nieces apron, it is e's.

(For those of you who don't know, Pie Day is a National Holiday. The day before Thanksgiving when we the women of the family get together and make pie... lots of pie. We also have a tons of fun and make memories for life.)

Crazy, Crazy, Crazy

Things have been so crazy, sorry I haven't written in a while. The kids are doing great at school, e has figured out this reading thing, and s is loving Gifted and Talented. He comes home on Tuesday's with all these great ideas of projects we need to do. T is almost finished with truck driving school and has applied for a few jobs already. A couple that are close to home, and not long haul. I'm really hoping one of those will work out.
I'm having a complete hysterectomy on Dec, 9th and I can't wait. The surgrey I had back in July didn't do the job, so now we're taking it all out. Being Diabetic I already have to take pills everyday, so what's the big deal of one more. I haven't been a very good Mom or wife lately, so something had to change.
Are you ready for the holidays yet? I am NOT, but I'm trying. I'm doing a booth a Holiday Bazarre, to earn some money for Christmas. I'm selling some benches and signs that I've made. T has helped so much, with TS gone to Texas I didn't feel like I could do it. But my awesome husband stepped up to the plate, and is my creative partner too. Well I'm going to try and get some new family pictures taken before Christmas and then I'll post them.
Ta Ta for now...

Fall

Here is a Fall picture, I love this time of year. These are the trees in the front of your subdivision.
T started school this morning, a ton of info. It was kind of over whelming but he's doing good. He's still excited about it, and the quicker he finds a job the better off things will be. We just need to stay positive and work hard. Keep us in your prayers.

with him.

I Love This Time of Year

Here we are at the Pumpkin Patch... T, S and E are in a maze made of hay bails waiting for me.

There was a maze of corn also. The kids had fun going through it figuring out the clues to get out.

Tomorrow the kids don't have school, but I do because it's Teacher's Development Day. S and E are going to carve or paint there pumpkins with Daddy.... I'm so excited for them.

Mario?

This is my brother, he is wearing s's Mario hat. Isn't it hilarious. He has the mustache, and dark hair. He really does look like him.

Picture Day

Here are my wonderful children, they are getting so big. This is picture day at school, I'm not going to get those pictures but I wanted to document this morning. s looks a lot like his dad, and e is so beautiful. We got up early so we could curl her hair.
We have been very busy with school. T has decided to quit his job and do something different. His company is doing a round of lay-offs, he has decided to volunteer and take a nice sevrance package. It's pretty scary stuff, but I have to admit it will be nice to have him home at night with us.
Well I'll write again soon, I hope all is well with everyone.

It's Fall!

It's starting to be Fall! I love Autumn, it's my favorite time of year. T went out on the four-wheelers today and took some pretty great pictures.
Everything here is good, the kids are loving school, and looking forward to Halloween. s is going to be Super Mario again and e is going to be Hannah Montana. Great thing about it is they already have everything they need, and I don't have to buy them anything:)

One of My Favorite Things

It has been a busy busy few weeks. Sorry I haven't written in a while.
Last weekend T and I celebrated our tenth Anniversary. Ten years, WOW!!! I feel like we have really accomplished something, and it wasn't that hard. Don't get me wrong we've had rough times, but as long as we both work at it, and appreciate each other we are as strong as ever.
This is a picture of a Christmas gift I received from T, it's a Willow Creek sculpture. It's just like our little family, and they are all wrapped up together in love.
Well I'll blog ya later...

Mountains

Last weekend we went out on the four-wheelers. We went up to Idaho City, it was a awesome day. Not to hot up there, and not a cloud in the sky. We found a good trail, and a creek to play in.
I took this picture, because it reminded me of my Dad. He loved looking at the forest, seeing what there is to see. His birthday would have been last week, he would have been 65 this year. It's hard to believe he's been gone for 8 years already. I still miss him, and wish he could be here with us. I think he would like going out on the four-wheelers and being out on the mountain.

1st Day of School

Well yesterday was the first day of school. It was a big hit. They both loved it... even staying all day long for e. Both of them seem to really like their teachers. I've been able to be out and about and have seen both of them throughout the day. Working at the same school has it's advantages. They are both eager to get homework, and e can't wait to be able to read as well as s. I'll keep you posted on the fun days of school.

King of the Mountain

Here is a very cool picture of T, this is on our last 4-wheeling trip. T climbed all the way up on top of this rock. There must have been a glacier here, because all the rocks are so smooth. Everywhere else around the rocks were so sharp and jagged, but not right there.

4-Wheeling

We took a trip out with the four wheelers today... The first time since my surgery, I'm paying a little now but I have to start somewhere. It was fun, but so hot. This picture of e and T are so cute... she is definitely Daddy's Girl. s is getting so big, he really wants to get his own 4-wheeler.

Lighthouse

Here is a really photo of the Lighthouse that we went and saw on our trip. It is near Tillamook... it was very foggy, we couldn't even see the water but we could hear it. It was so cold that day, I'm wishing for one of those cold days now, it's too hot here.

Cutie!

Here is my little great niece... k. She is almost 4 months old now, last night I watched her for about 4hours. It was kind of a long time for her, she's a nursing baby, and hates the bottle, she would only take it after about 3 hours. She took it cold and everything, I guess by that time she was hungry enough it didn't matter. She really was very good, her Mom hadn't ever really left her for more than an hour before, she was pretty nervous. It was kind of fun having a baby in the house again, but good to send her home to Mom and Dad too.

T

Here is a picture of my hubby, we were on the deck of the Motel room that we had on our trip. He didn't really want his picture taken. I think he's pretty handsome. It's hard to believe that we have been married almost ten years. I'm trying to come up with a good idea, that is cheap to celebrate our Anniversary in Sept.

Docks

Here a picture from the docks in Garibaldi. This place brings back a lot of memories for T. His Grandpa used to work here and dock his own boat here.

The Beach Fort

Here is a fort that the kids found.. it was falling apart, and wasn't very stable. So, T and Grandpa decided to rebuild it. It had to be taken apart and then they put it back together. They had a lot of fun, and it was cool.

Here is T and the kids in the finished fort.

More Pics

Here is a picture of Grandpa... he's out with T early in the morning taking pictures. He's very good, and takes some amazing shots. It was great to get to spend time with him and the rest of the family during our trip.

We're Back!

We had a great time on the Oregon Coast. But we are also glad to be home. It was so cold there, but here it's so hot. It was great to see all of T's family, and talk about the good old times, and create more memories with all of them.
I'll post more pictures from our trip later...
I had a tooth break-off the last night we were there, we came home to get it fixed, but it broke off at the bone and it wasn't savable. It was a ruff extraction, and I'm really not feelong to good.
I am however reacupterating well from my surgrey I had on July 1st. It's a good thing I have the summer off.... I would be using up a lot of sick days if I didn't.
Well I'll blog ya later...

To Oregon We Go!!

Tomorrow we are going on a vacation... we are going to the Oregon Coast. The kids are super-duper excited. We haven't been there in awhile... three summers ago. T's Grandma lives there, and we are meeting up with T's Dad, stepmom and his sisters. They live in Texas so we don't see them very often. We will be taking tons of pictures... lots of material for my blog I'm sure.
I am recovering well from my surgery, and hope to be back to my old self by the end of the month. I just hope everything worked and I get the results I want.
Well I'll blog ya later, after we get home.

Summer Time Fun?

Well they are already for school to start again... we've been trying to keep busy. Going to the library and the park alot. Playing with friends, has been adventurous also. The weather has been so mild until 4 days ago, so we were able to be outside more than usual. But now summer is here, we pretty much just go out in the morning now.
We are planning a fun trip to the Oregon Coast in a few weeks, that will be the highlight of the summer, I'm pretty sure. T has been working tons extra so we can have some money for our trip... hopefully.

They are to Funny!

Last night e fell asleep in s's bed while we are reading stories. She always complains that he pushes her off the bed. Here is proof, he started out against the wall and now is in e's spot. Instead of being pushed off she just got on top.
They are already ready for school to start again, it's only been two weeks. We've been busy, we haven't just been sitting around doing nothing, I think they miss their friends. Well I think we're going fishing today I'll blog ya later.

School's Out for Summer!!!

Ok, schools finally out... it was out last week, but we've still been crazy busy.
I've been looking for a summer job, to earn a little extra while I can.
s and e have been busy playing with friends and playing Nintindo. Cub Scouts is going to keep going through the summer also. We are playing some field trips and lots of fun things. s and e both won free passes to are local swim park, by being super readers, and we will be going there soon. It's going to be one of the high lights of summer.
We have been planning a trip to the Oregon Coast... long awaited vacation. Well a vacation with Daddy. Our last vacation we went without T and it wasn't as fun. We'll get to meet up with T's Dad and rest of the family. It will be good to see everyone... and go to the beach.
T's is working harder than ever, over-time last night and tonight. Alteast he had a chance to go fishing yesterday, it's something special he can do with the kids, they love it and I don't have to go:)
The kids are busy right now making a fort in the living room, hoping to get to campout tonight, we'll see...
Blog ya soon...

Too Funny

Here is s and e playing in the garage... T thought they were funny. s would love to be able to drive the four-wheeler on his own, but not for quite a while.
Tomorrow is Mother's Day... the kids made me some adorable things at school. It's pretty great being a Mom these days. I just wish they would stay little... I don't want them to grow up.

Zoom Zoom

Here is a picture of me riding T's four wheeler, s is on the back. I was zooming up a little hill we found. It's was great fun... s was belly-aching because he had to ride with me, I'm apparently too slow. I showed him and he ended up having a good time, even if I am his Mom. We took TS out four-wheeling before she had to go back to Texas.

Sam had a field trip yesterday to the Discovery Center and the Zoo in Boise. Great time was had by all...

Just a little story for you about the power of prayer... The day before the long awaited field trip, s came to my room after school instead of walking home. He was complaining that his "brain hurt" and he couldn't possibly walk all the way home. So he stayed and waited until I finished my work, when we got home I gave him some allergy medicine. He begged TS to play Ninetendo with him, after a little while we needed to go to the library. He did not want the go and stayed home. When we got back 30- 40 minutes later he wasn't doing anything, just laying on the couch. He had a high fever and just wanted to do nothing, very unusual for him. As the night progressed he just went to bed with a temp of 102.6. He was very upset at the thought that he might not be able to go on the field trip, they only have one a year and he did not want to miss it. We prayed and prayed that he would feel better and be able to go. All throughout the night I kept checking his temp... 101.9 at 12:30 am, 102.0 at 2 am, ,104.0 at 4 am. I was so worried, he did not have any other symtoms. He had been complaining of stomache aches, but didn't have one then, and after everything that happened last summer with his appendex...ahhhh. Well he woke up at 6 am and said, "Lets get up early and make my lunch Mom" He was fine, his temp was 98.0, and he felt great. He has been fine since too. I still keeping a close eye on him, that boy is going to give me ulcers.

We are still counting our blessings... so thankful for healthy and happy kids.

2nd Place

Well we had our Pine Wood Derby... s came in 2nd. He won every race he was in until the last two races, he lost the final... it was best two of three. He took it well, T took it pretty hard though. His truck was designed after his Dad's truck, except paint, and spoiler. He is already talking about next years car. T made a car for himself and a car for e and me... the parents got to race theirs afterwords. e's and my, car was the best... It even beat the Derby winner. It was pink, with black strips... totally cute.

I'm a Great Aunt

Here is a picture of me holding my new great niece... My neice had her baby, her name is Katie... she weighed 8lbs 8oz. She is going great. My sister and brother-in-law are happy Grandparents... Grandpa is a baby piggy. We went up and saw them last weekend, and had to squeeze in a chance to hold her.

Sorry it's been awhile...

Here is a picture we took in Texas... we were at the zoo in San Antiono. That tree was beauitful, it looked over the swans.

Our latest 4-Wheeling Trip

Here we are on our last trip 4-wheeling... we were up above the Swan Falls Dam outside Kuna. Just behind us about 10 ten feet, is about 500 foot cliff. It was a very fun day, the weather was awesome... 70 degrees, and a little wind. We took the kids fishing for a while along the way, we didn't catch anything, but who wants to eat fish anyway.
Well I need to go make playdough for Cub Scouts tomorrow, we are making volcones... it's getting to be interesting.

After School Snack

I have a funny little story to tell... yesterday when I came home from school the kids are having a snack. I had made cookies a few days ago. s likes his warm, so he puts them in the microwave for 7-9 seconds.e wanted a warm one too, s wouldn't do it for her, so she warmed up a cookie for herself... she put it in the microwave and pushed the only button she knows, the popcorn button. Well 3 1/2 minutes later the cookie was petrefied. They realized it was bad... so they tried to clean it up... they had three spatulas, two potholders, and two rags. I'm not sure you can imagine the large mess they had. (It was big and wide.) Not only the mess,, but the smell... e thought she'd get ride of it with some Frebreez air freshern... so now we have a burned cookie and air freshern smell.
When I walked in the door from my staff meeting my senses were assaulted... T was just getting up and realizing what had happened. No one was happy at that moment... e shouldn't have done it by herself, s should have helped her, T and I were having a bad parenting moment. Well the mess was cleaned and lectures given, but every time someone (who isn't e) uses the microwave, it stinks all over again.

Normal Plain Life

Here is a picture from our trip to Texas... we were with T's dad and his wife. We ate at the Rainforest cafe, so we had to take a picture. s and e look a little silly in the picture, but I think I look good.

Well we have adjusted to being home again... back to the grind. School, work and normal plain life. s and e had great report cards for the third quarter of school. e needs to work on being happy at school though... she's doing great with learning her sounds and sight words. s is keeping his teacher on her toes. She is happy to have him in her class this year and is working on keeping him busy.

Too Much Fun?

OK I admit it, I'm ready to go home. It's been nice and we've had a great time, but I miss T. We've never been apart for so long before, the kids really miss him too. The other night e got to talk to him and she realized how much she missed him, she cried for quite a while. Don't get me wrong I'm so glad and thankful we came, we have done once in a lifetime things.
We have seen the Gulf of Mexico and some of the prettiest land Texas has to offer. Going to SeaWorld was amazing experience, although s still regrets not getting splashed by Shamu... he also didn't get to touch a dolphin. He came so close though, I was to chicken to even put my hand out there.
We also saw Grandpa D, and his wife... They drove down from where they live to spend some time with us. We got to go on a scenic boat ride with them on the riverwalk in downtown San Antiono and go to a really cool themed resturant, the Rainforest. We really like Grandpa's wife-L, it was great to get to spend ome more time with her too and get to know her better. They got s and e some gifts, and we all had good time.
We have some great pictures and memories to take home with us... a long with some new clothes and toys, I hope it will all fit into the suitcase:)

We are going to need a vacation for our vacation!!

We are doing lots of fun things here... we went to the zoo... twice. The zoo was very cool, but to big to take in all at once. Wednesday we went to Fredricksburg to a wildflower seed farm, Grandma loved it, we walked around and looked at the little shops in town.
On Thursday we went to the coast, at Corpus Christi, got pretty sunburned. The wind was blowing so much we didn't feel hot at all, but all the while we were getting burned. The tops of my feet the backs of my legs and my neck are the worst... e and s are good though, we put sunscreen on them. s LOVED the ocean, e liked it alot, but s couldn't get enough of it... there was alot of jellyfish and seashells to look at. The sand was really fine, not like at the Oregon Coast, the sand there is ruff, and hurts your feet. We took a picinic to beach and the Seagulls swarmed us for food, we even saw a flock of Pelicians. On the way home we took a ferry and got to see Dolphins in the Gulf of Mexico.
On Friday we finally got to go to Sea World, Shamu was amazing, we also saw dolphins, and a Buliga whale show. The kids got to ride a few rides and see the Budwieser Clydesdale's... e really wanted to go on a ride on one. The weather got really stormy and the park closed so we didn't get to spend to much time there.. probably good, we're pretty tired. Today we are going to go to the Alamo in downtown, and meet up with T's dad and step-mom. It should be a fun day.
It'll keep you posted on the rest of the trip...
We are having a great time, but the time is going so fast.

Sunday, March 23, 2008

We made it!!!

Ok, here we are in Texas, it's hot here. We are having a great time, we when got here we went to TS's favorite BBQ resturant and had brisket. It was very good, they had a huge statue of a cow that was painted with a mermaid on it in the resturant, weird yes. Then we went shopping for awhile and wore Grandma C out. Her arm is still very swollen, and we are worried that it really is broken after all. We are taking her to the doctor tomorrow.
We are planning to go to the zoo tomorrow, TS has a friend that can get us in for free. So we are going to get the wheelchair out and take her to the zoo, e really really wants to see a "pecker bird" that pecks wood... I swear that is what she said. I laughed and laughed. I'll keep you posted on how things go...

Friday, March 21, 2008

We're Going to Texas!!!

We are really going to Texas, in about 9 hours... wahoo!!! We are so ready... we're packed the suitcases in the car and kids in bed. Now I just need to go to bed. Grandma is here and ready to go to, she had a little accident this morning though. She was packing her car to drive here and missed the step off her porch on to the car port. Hit her head on the box she was holding and then on the cement. She was alone and had to walk about 100 yards to Aunt's office for help. Aunt Vickie got her gathered up and to the hospital in McCall. She has about 20 stitches in her forehead and they thought maybe her arm was broken. Arm isn't broken but very swollen, and sore. Then Aunt Vickie brought her on to my house with instructions on how to care for her head. The doctor says she is OK to go to Texas, and she's ready to go. She says she doesn't want me to wait on her, she's fine. My plan in the morning is to go to ticket counter and let them know I need a wheelchair for her, and pushing her everywhere we need to go... hopefully being able to broad the plane first and get us all together. We hopefully will have a uneventful trip, that remains to be seen. I'll keep you posted...

whisper

I have found the best form of discipline in the world... atleast for e. It's putting her on "whisper", she HATES it. She is currently on whisper at this very moment, she talks so loud. I constantly say, "I'm right here, you don't need to yell." I guess she uses up all her quiet at school, because she can't seem to talk in a normal voice at home. If she forgets to whisper while on "Whisper" then she has to be silent for an alotted amount of time, usually 6 minutes. (Because she's 6 years old) I very rarely have to put s on "whisper", if anything he keeps e toned down alittle. TS are your ears ready for e to come visit you:) We are getting pretty excited, we will be in Texas in a week from tomorrow... yahoo!!!! I've started making my lists, and compliling things for the plane ride, to keep the kids busy.
Well blog ya later...

Thursday, March 13, 2008

Well the weather was getting warmer... he are s and e playing in the park. But it's cold and rainy again today. It seems like we have been really busy lately, but I'm not sure we got much of anything accomplished. Cub Scouts are going good. I guess... today is another Pack Meeting. s is going to get his Bobcat badge, and they will get there cars for the Pinewood Derby tonight. Big excitement all around. I think T is excited to help e with his derby car, the actual Derby isn't until April, but the making of the car apparentlly is a big deal.

e is back to her normal self... today her class had a musical concert for the parents. T was off work today and yesterday and was able to come, I was able to get out of my duties in my class for a little while and was able to go also. She was so cute, they had actions to do with the songs, and singing. They even danced and played a few songs on some instruments. She was very worried that she would look silly, and not do it right. I thought they were great.
